Viewfinder freezes after a second of recording video #180

I'm running XtraSmooth 5.1.1 with the ElementalX kernel on my Nexus 5 (hammerhead). When I record video at any resolution it freezes after about a second after I press record. There is no saved video after I stop recording. I'm using the latest L camera build and the issue arises with no camera patch and with the 60fps patch. Help? :c
