Hello,

In Simplified Chinese system, this software displays as an English page

After executing the following command, the fly-pie settings page will display normally.

mv ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/flypie@schneegans.github.com/locale/zh_Hans/ ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/flypie@schneegans.github.com/locale/zh_CN

The Simplified Chinese name of the PO file should be "zh_CN" instead of "zh_Hans"`. You can refer to the following project.

mutter
GIMP
gnome-text-editor
gnome-shell
gnome-software

System

Please complete the following information:

  • Arch Linux
  • Fly-Pie version 28
  • GNOME Shell 48.0

Thanks

Hi there! This is more likely a system configuration error on your side. zh_CN is mostly there for historical reasons is usually to be avoided in newer projects.

When the difference is one of script or script variety, as for simplified versus traditional Chinese characters, it should be expressed with a script subtag instead of a region subtag; in this example, zh-Hans and zh-Hant should be used instead of zh-CN/zh-SG/zh-MY and zh-TW/zh-HK/zh-MO.

IETF BCP 47 language tag description on Wikipedia.
