Currently, if a path to the htmlhintrc is supplied, "./" is appended to the path name, breaking absolute paths. Can this be removed?

It looks like that only happens if the path is supplied as a string. If you supply it as eg. { htmlhintrc: '/absolute/path/to/.htmlhintrc' } you should be right.
