How to make npm run build use more of available resources to speed up the build

My app build in 3 minutes and couple seconds. It build on 15 GB memory, 8 vCPUs linux build machine. It used <30% of available resources. Any recommendations how to utilise more resources & speed up the build?

If i run same build on 7 GB memory, 4 vCPUs machine it uses ±60% of resources and does run longer, so more resources gave some boost, yet it's far from using it all.

I tried this too node --max_old_space_size=12000 && npm run build but it changed close to nothing, not sure if it's just statistical fluctuation. memory still ±15% of use plus minus 1-3%.

The first solution I can think of is splitting the app into multiple separate create-react-app projects. What is the size of the final bundle? I imagine that if takes that long to build it must be fairly large. It must also be quite an annoyance to wait for the rebuild on your local machine during development. Is it necessary to build it all together?
Concerning processor usage, as far as I know the CRA build runs mostly single threaded, so it can't make use of many processors. Over the years there are have been different attempts to try to make the build more parallel (for example https://webpack.js.org/loaders/thread-loader/) but they all come with limitations and in any case you would need to eject to modify the webpack configuration.
