The problem

Gemma 3 just released. In my setup I have a dedicated LLM server running Ollama as backend to server HA with LLMs. I just updated Ollama to the latest version 0.6 to get Gemma 3 running. I integrated Gemma 3 via the Ollama integration. When I try to use Gemma 3 with "not control" selected, it is actually working and provide responses. As soon I select "Assist" it always give me this error “ Unexpected error during intent recognition”. According to the Gemma 3 data sheet, function calling is supported.

Hey there @synesthesiam, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (ollama) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!
