Hello! The engine don't seem to support AZERTY keyboards as i have mine set as AZERTY and it's still types like i'm in QWERTY.
I'm using Pop!_OS 64bit and the latest files as i started to compile it like 30 min ago. If you want more information tell me!

Thanks for reporting this! I've only ever used QWERTY so I am pretty ignorant on this issue. I think I am making bad assumptions about the keycodes I'm getting from X11. I'll have to do some research on this issue.
