Ignoring directories

ı tried to ignore a directory but it did not worked also it gave an error of using W so it will not work ... how can ı ignore files

What is the value of the OPENGROK_SRC_ROOT environment variable ? The directory matching will work even with absolute paths as long as they can be matched against paths in source root.

For example, if I run the indexer with -s /var/opengrok/src -d /var/opengrok/data -P -i d:/var/opengrok/src/foo/bar then assuming the source root layout looks like this (as reported by tree(1) Linux utility):

    ├── bar
    │   └── bar.txt
    └── foo.txt

2 directories, 2 files

it will ignore the /var/opengrok/src/foo/bar directory contents as expected, i.e. it will index foo.txt but not bar.txt.

It worked, but there's an issue that needs to be fixed. When specifying the ignore option, using -i d:aaa/ does not properly ignore the aaa directory. Additionally, quotes(",') should not be used.

If the pattern contains path separator, it is matched as a path component suffix to the absolute path of each processed file. Hence, this will not work if the intention is to ignore files in the aaa directory. Use wildcards for that.

As for the quotes(",'), I am not sure what do you mean by that.
