Syllasync is a website I built to solve a common issue faced by university students: manually adding syllabus events to their calendar.
At the start of each semester, students spend about 10 minutes per class syllabus adding events to their calendar. For a full course load, this takes almost an hour! I figured there had to be a better way.
Syllasync uses AI to make the process fast and seamless.
- The student uploads their syllabus.
- The AI extracts all important dates and details.
- The extracted events are displayed in a clear, organized list.
- The user can:
- Preview their calendar with the events.
- Receive an email with all events in an ICS file.
- With the ICS file, students can add all events to their calendar with just one click.
The whole process takes about 1 minute, totally speeding up the time for students to add syllabus events to their calendar
