Syllasync

Syllasync is a website I built to solve a common issue faced by university students: manually adding syllabus events to their calendar.

The Problem

At the start of each semester, students spend about 10 minutes per class syllabus adding events to their calendar. For a full course load, this takes almost an hour! I figured there had to be a better way.

The Solution

Syllasync uses AI to make the process fast and seamless.

How It Works

  1. The student uploads their syllabus.
  2. The AI extracts all important dates and details.
  3. The extracted events are displayed in a clear, organized list.
  4. The user can:
    • Preview their calendar with the events.
    • Receive an email with all events in an ICS file.
  5. With the ICS file, students can add all events to their calendar with just one click.

The whole process takes about 1 minute, totally speeding up the time for students to add syllabus events to their calendar
