I noticed some bulk tasks get this warning, and the Apple Photos app icon starts bouncing in my dock. However, when I click on Apple Photos, I never receive an actual prompt, the icon simply stops bouncing. Sometimes the task still executes, but other times it does not. In the attached screen recording, osxphotos is trying to add 369 photos to an album. It never works — the album is created, but 0 photos are added. If I reduce it to ~150 photos, same issue. If I reduce it down to 10 photos, it works (but then I don't think it needs to prompt me?) Should I be seeing an actual prompt here? Or is this a known issue with larger batches? 2024 Macbook M4 Max, OS Sequoia 15.3 screengrab-01.mp4 |

Update: I noticed some of these photos were coming from a shared album titled "Miami 🎂". I added the param --not-shared and it successfully added 2400 photos to the album. I'm not sure if the problem was the shared album or the 🎂 emoji in the title... if I figure that out I will report back! |
