This Chrome extension allows free users of OKCupid to view who likes them within the "Likes" tab. I created this project to delve into learning JavaScript and API endpoints in depth, as well as to gain a surface-level understanding of Chrome extension creation. This extension is the result of my journey into web development and is designed to enhance the user experience of OKCupid by providing a feature that is normally locked behind a paywall.
The primary motivation behind this project was to challenge myself with a real-world application of JavaScript and to understand the intricacies of working with API endpoints. Additionally, I wanted to explore the process of creating a Chrome extension, from conception to deployment. This project served as a hands-on learning experience to deepen my knowledge of web technologies and to solve a specific problem faced by many users of OKCupid (including myself, lmao)
To install this extension, follow these simple steps:

Download the Project Files: Download the extension files into a folder on your computer. You can do this by cloning the repository or downloading a ZIP file and extracting it.

Open Chrome Extensions: In your Chrome browser, navigate to
chrome://extensions/to open the Extensions page. -
Enable Developer Mode: At the top-right corner of the Extensions page, toggle the "Developer Mode" switch to enable Developer Mode. This allows you to install unpacked extensions.

Load the Extension: Click on the "Load unpacked" button, then navigate to and select the folder where you downloaded the project files. The extension should now appear in your list of extensions and be active.

Enjoy: Navigate to OKCupid and open the "Likes" tab to see the extension in action.

While the extension is fully functional, future improvements may include optimizing performance and adding additional features based on user feedback.
