• Releases and Recordings can now be matched to Spotify entities via UPC barcodes and ISRCs, if both MusicBrainz and Spotify know their values! A new argument strategy was added to the spotify field to control which match strategies are used, in preferential order. Possible values are URL and EXTERNALID. In the future, support for a NAME strategy is likely.

  If entities are matched via external IDs rather than explicit URL relationships, then it's possible that multiple Spotify entities will match, so the most popular one will be chosen (if possible), otherwise the first in the list.
