✨ v1.2 Redesign

🤔 What happened?

Foremost, I want to apologize for not updating this project for over a year now. Since this timespan, I got a job which drastically drained my time to work on those projects. There have also been other projects I have been working on, like Nexterm.

However, during this time I also wrote down many ideas I wanted to implement and read every single Issue on this repository.

📝 What's the plan now?

In order to implement everything I have planned, an entire rewrite of the codebase is required. Why? Here's the plan:

The current implementation only allows support for Spigot and its forks. In the future, I want to be able to port this project to multiple other server types by creating a single api and importing that into all the server types:

  • Vanilla: Attaches to the server.jar from the launcher metadata and wraps the MCDash api around it
  • Spigot: Imports the MCDash api and uses the already existing implementation of it
  • Fabric: Allow support for modded servers

Using this modular system, support for more server software like Bungeecord or Forge is easily achievable, but not priority for now.

Sadly, I need to discontinue the MCDash Wrapper project. That would be too much overhead for me, and I want to fully focus on this project instead of the wrapper. The legacy code can still be found and compiled here, but it won't be supported with this redesign.

The new web interface will follow the ShadCN UI guidelines.
