getting error "No Bibtex file configured for citer"

I have tried this for both a Windows computer and a Mac. I also looked into the source file as well, it seems that one would get this warning only when either bib_path is None or len(paths) == 0.
The path I've inputted looks like this: "bibtex_file_path": "/Users/.../Downloads/project/library.bib" and I tried everything I could.
Any help would be appreciated.

This worked for me:

• open up the Citer.sublime-settings in the actual Citer package folder (%APPDATA%\Roaming\Sublime Text\Packages\Citer) in sublime text, NOT the user citer settings file opened from the Preferences > Package Settings > Citer > Citer Settings - user), you get the following:

}

• change to following:

"pandoc_cite_fix": true,
"bibtex_file": "C:\\path\\to\\file.bib"
}

• save it and then try again.

Seems to be working stably for me now. Looks to me like whatever is in that user settings file is not being passed on to Citer. Good luck!
