It's generally good practice to include a code of conduct in repositories. This is a bit of a Frankenstein monster, made up of the Contributor Covenant, the Circle Community Guidelines, and the RSA EDI committment on the website.

To check

  • does this reflect what we want?
  • who needs to approve it?
  • who would receive reports of a CoC violation?
  • how specific do we need to be about how the CoC will be enforced? The Contributor Covenant already suggests a process but I removed it as I doubt that a boilerplate process would work. I could try to adapt the process explained for Circle?

this is a great point which i would not have considered. I think we should have something. I dont think there is a specific person or body for approval but i'm sure between Kim and Sascha we can figure it out. Lets start with the circle process and refine for our needs

Awesome! I'm already in touch with Timothy about the README so I'll ask him if that's something he can sign off on.
