Hostel Finder is a web-based platform designed to help students find and explore nearby hostels before arriving at college. It provides hostel ratings, photos, and additional features like carpooling, event & activities, and a hostel chat system to enhance the user experience.

Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Backend: PHP (for college project requirement)

Database: MySQL / NoSQL

Authentication: Google Sign-In, Apple ID

Hosting: Firebase / Netlify / GitHub Pages

Installation & Setup

Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/your-username/hostel-finder.git

Navigate to the project folder:

cd hostel-finder

Install dependencies (if applicable):

npm install # For React-based frontend

Start the local server:

npm start # If using React php -S localhost:8000 # If using PHP backend

Open http://localhost:8000 in your browser.
