Recently, iterm2 updated and gave user the possibility to choose between 3 new looks: regular, minimal and compact. I particularly like the minimal look. It shows all the necessary information without being distracting. This look is based the appearance of Electron apps (https://www.iterm2.com/documentation-preferences-appearance.html). See e.g. this screenshot this
from here.

This feature would give MacVim a more modern look.

Subscribing to updates.

Literally this would be the most awesome change to MacVim that could ever happen. Its literally the only thing I go tired of seeing (weathered old 2005 tabs). But, MacVim is so awesome overall I just ignore it.

The only other thing that would be awesome, although I don't know if it's possible, is the window doesn't seem to follow the same 'rules' as other OSX windows. For example my window manager constantly does this when I align it to the right half of the screen:

(notice the + is now cut off)

Not a big deal, I will take what I can get. Mostly I'm just excited that better tabs are now actually a possibility 🙏🏼 If I knew Swift or whatever I'd do it myself.

See #948 for the resizing issue as it's a different thing from tabs.

Allow the opening parenthesis of a multiline array assignment, within an
if statement, to appear at EOL.

Fixes issue macvim-dev#962.
